VCA Canada is seeking a highly organized and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Alta Vista Animal Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital and providing exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between veterinarians, treatment staff, and clients to ensure seamless communication and care for hospitalized patients.
- Provide daily financial and medical updates to clients, including invoicing and medication management.
- Prepare and present discharge instructions, medications, and client education to ensure a smooth transition for patients and their families.
- Coordinate referrals or transfers with other hospitals and follow up on discharged patients to ensure continued care.
- Discuss financing options, request deposits, and update estimate plans to ensure timely payment and minimize financial stress for clients.
- Relay lab results and other critical information to clients in a clear and compassionate manner.
Requirements
We are seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic individual with excellent communication skills and a strong client service background. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will work collaboratively with our veterinary team to provide exceptional care and service to our clients and their pets.
