We're seeking a highly skilled Tunnel Foreman to lead our work crews and drive quality, efficiency, and productivity. As a Tunnel Foreman, you'll be responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and supervising site operatives, ensuring all work is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Drive quality, efficiency, and productivity of work crews.
- Schedule, coordinate, and supervise site operatives.
- Accurately record and communicate hours worked and operational issues.
- Operate and promote safe working on site.
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements.
- Conduct and amend risk assessments and deliver toolbox talks/briefings.
- Ensure site personnel have job-relevant training requirements.
- Lead by example to others on site.
- Ensure workers complete all required documentation.
- Track and document daily work productions.
- Equipment and materials management.
- Assist the TBM Superintendent in promoting communication throughout the tunnel team.
- Supervise TBM Operators who maintain the line and grade of the tunnel.
- Ensure TBM operators maintain designed parameters and operate within manufacturers' guidelines.
- Supervise the erector operator who erects segmental lining.
- Implement the annular grouting procedure behind the segmental lining.
- Secondary School or equivalent.
- Practical training, classroom, or simulation.
- Working knowledge of English.
- Familiarity with OSHA and aware of the meaning of 'Supervisor' under OSHA.
- MOL's required basic supervisory safety awareness training.
- 2-3 years' experience with Tunnel Boring Machine operations.
- 2-3 years' experience with Slurry TBM.
- 2-3 years' experience in tunneling with concrete segment lining, 6.0 m diameter.
- 2-3 years' experience with Herrenknecht equipment.
- $53 per hour, with shift premium for shift workers.
- 37.5 hours/week, with overtime opportunities.
