We are looking for a Vice President, Finance Shared Services to lead our financial operations.

This role presents a remarkable opportunity for an experienced finance leader with a track record of managing a high-performing accounting team within a dynamic, rapidly expanding organization. The VP, Finance Shared Services is tasked with overseeing the financial shared services of the organization. This position is essential for ensuring the precise and timely recording of financial data and adherence to accounting standards and policies, which supports comprehensive financial reporting and analysis for informed decision-making.

The VP Finance Shared Services will manage the planning and execution of integrating newly acquired entities into the finance shared services framework, while also developing and implementing standardized processes, key performance indicators (KPIs), and documentation of controls and procedures. This role embodies a shared services philosophy, delivering high-quality services efficiently to internal stakeholders. The VP Finance Shared Services will work collaboratively with various departments, including FP&A, tax, operations, and external auditors, to maintain the integrity of financial information in the general ledger and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the finance shared services function across the organization.
  2. Provide strategic leadership, prioritize deliverables effectively, and establish the future direction of the finance function.
  3. Collaborate with teams across the organization to create and implement operational finance processes that align with business objectives.
  4. Lead the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis.
  5. Review and advise on complex accounting matters, account reconciliations, and other month-end deliverables.
  6. Establish and maintain robust internal control processes to protect company assets and ensure data integrity.
  7. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  8. Work with external auditors during audits to provide necessary documentation and support.
  9. Collaborate with the acquisition onboarding team and finance units on the integration of acquired companies.
  10. Drive standardization and process optimization initiatives with a shared services approach.
  11. Develop and implement KPIs and reporting for the shared services function.
  12. Participate in project delivery, including ERP implementations and automation initiatives.
  13. Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, offering guidance and support in daily operations.
  14. Conduct performance evaluations and provide continuous feedback to team members.
  15. Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs.
  16. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
Qualifications:
  1. In-depth understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  2. Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manipulate financial data.
  3. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
  5. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively build and motivate teams.
  6. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Excellent planning and organizational skills, including managing teams and project timelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. 10-15 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles with increasing responsibility; shared services experience is a plus.
  2. CPA or equivalent certification in good standing, with experience in a major accounting firm.
  3. Strong knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems; proficiency in Workday is advantageous.
  4. Experience with acquisitions and integrations is a valuable asset.
