Embedded Hardware Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Hardware Design Engineer to join our team at Thales Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and supporting microprocessor-based circuit boards and system level designs meeting strict physical security requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Design Concept to Production: Develop design concepts from inception to production end-of-life, ensuring that all projects meet the required specifications and standards.
- Project Management: Collaborate with product management and other engineering teams to refine project requirements, develop detailed digital and analog design implementations, and ensure signal integrity and PCB layout of complex multilayer printed circuit boards.
- Prototyping and Testing: Lead prototype bring-up and testing of all system components, support other development teams during product integration, and generate and execute test plans to support product verification and validation.
- Mentorship and Support: Mentor junior staff members and provide continued support for customer support, product managers, and manufacturing for the life of the product.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering: We require a B.Sc. or B.Eng degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 15 Years of Experience: With 15 years of embedded microprocessor-based system design expertise from concept to product End-of-Life, you'll have a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of high-level hardware board and system level design.
- Preferred Skills: Verilog CPLD/FPGA design and simulation experience, detailed FIPS 140-3, PCI-HSM physical security requirements knowledge, and understanding of regulatory certifications and mechanical design principles are preferred but not required.
