About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Brampton Electrical Services. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install electrical controls and panel boxes to ensure safe and efficient electrical distribution.
  • Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes to maintain optimal system performance.
  • Install underground wiring and cables to meet the electrical needs of our clients.
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation up to date to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Splice, join, and connect wires to ensure secure and reliable electrical connections.
  • Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults, and integrity of circuits to identify potential issues.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults to minimize downtime and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Connect power to audio and visual equipment to meet the electrical needs of our clients.
  • Install surface mount and/or overhead cables to meet the electrical needs of our clients.
  • Supervise other workers to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
  • Estimate costs and materials to ensure accurate project planning.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate electrical installations.
Requirements
  • Electrician Trade Certification to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in electrical systems installation and maintenance.
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees to ensure a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment to ensure a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people to ensure a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Permanent employment with Brampton Electrical Services.
  • English as the primary language of communication.
  • 32 hours per week of work to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
