Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • Perform design engineering activities that require a basic understanding of drawings, calculations, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Support relay protection and control engineering, including detailed design for substation projects of varying size, complexity, and voltage class.
  • Assist in preparing and developing engineering deliverables for substation projects.
  • Apply basic engineering principles in one or more areas, including substation design & protective relaying, transmission & distribution engineering, substation automation & power systems analysis, civil, communications, computer, and mechanical engineering (as applicable).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited program.
  • 0-2 years of relevant engineering experience in power systems, substations, or related fields.
  • Basic knowledge of relay protection and control systems, substation design, and power system analysis.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as NESC, IEEE, and ANSI.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits, as needed.
