Job Title: Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at System Care Truro. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the construction and maintenance of residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
  • Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites.
  • Supervise other workers.
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.
Requirements:
  • Carpenter Trade Certification.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Bondable.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Willing to travel regularly.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. The work will involve bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and working at heights.
