About the Opportunity

Aecon is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Project Controls team in the Urban Transportation Solutions group. As a Project Controls Director, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of dynamic transit projects in Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain project controls systems, including cost and schedule baselines.
  • Lead a team of project controls staff in planning, scheduling, cost control, change management, and risk management.
  • Support project managers in tracking project health and establishing communication plans.
  • Develop and implement project-specific project controls plans, including earned value management and change management.
  • Provide commercial and technical expertise to support proposal development and contractually defined project control requirements.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Business or Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 15+ years of construction industry experience.
  • Proven experience in planning, scheduling, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, estimating, and cost control.
  • Strong knowledge of earned value management principles.
  • Natural leader and team builder with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
