About the Job

We are looking for an exceptional Strategic Product Engineering Manager to lead our team in building Canada's best corporate card and spend management platform. As a key member of our leadership team, you will have complete ownership of your area and be responsible for delivering against our product roadmap.

Your Week-to-Week

You will split your time between being a key hands-on contributor, delivering against Float's product roadmap, and leading a team of talented engineers. You will own end-to-end engineering delivery outcomes for your product vertical, overseeing the product development process, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of new features and improvements, and partnering with others to prioritize and address technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers through the product development lifecycle
  • Ship high-quality code to production in an iterative fashion while meeting key product deadlines
  • Work with your team to design high-throughput and stable systems
  • Talk to customers to understand their needs
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks that could affect project timelines or product quality
  • Develop, implement, and refine engineering processes and practices to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, we are looking for 7-10+ years of B2B SaaS, startup experience. Experience with business payments, banking, and finance is a bonus. You've led an engineering team at a growing startup, have experienced the growing pains of scaling a product and growing an engineering team, and want to join another early-stage company to do it all again.

What We Offer

Competitive compensation of $180,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on experience, plus additional perks and benefits, including a personal Float card with a monthly stipend, a dog-friendly office, and the opportunity to work with and learn from a world-class team.
