Job Title: Metal Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team at Jagir Contracting Inc. As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components using various metalworking techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lay out reference points and patterns to ensure accurate fabrication
  • Plan and sequence tasks to optimize metal cutting efficiency
  • Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine material requirements
  • Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures
  • Weld or bolt sections together using various techniques
  • Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines
  • Construct patterns and templates for fabrication
  • Install fabricated components in final products
  • Rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in metal fabrication
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 35 to 40 hours of work per week
Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding role that requires hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.
