Job Summary

SCT WELDING LASER & MANUFACTURING CO. is seeking a skilled Welding Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, reading and interpreting blueprints, and ensuring that welds meet standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and read blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication
  • Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, computer-aided design (CAD), and hoisting and lifting equipment
  • Determine weldability of materials and operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
  • Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal
Requirements
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a manufacture setting, handling a variety of materials including aluminum alloys, copper and copper alloys, stainless steel, steel, iron, and heavy metals.
