About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at Murphy Hospitality Group. As a key member of our management team, you will play a pivotal role in creating memorable experiences for our guests and ensuring the highest standards of quality service and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Experience: Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner, ensuring that guests receive an unparalleled guest experience.
  • Front Desk Operations: Assist the General Manager in the daily operation of the hotel, oversee all front desk activities, and ensure guest service standards are being met in every guest room, every shift, every day.
  • Revenue Management: Be aware of the status of the availability of rooms at the hotel on any given day to ensure revenue is maximized.
  • Communication: Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff, assign and instruct staff in details of work, observe performance, and encourage improvement.
  • Problem-Solving: Effectively handle problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage all administrative duties as specified.
Requirements
  • Leadership: A self-motivated leader who inspires other team members to be at their best every day.
  • Organization: A highly organized person who is able to establish and achieve daily and weekly goals.
  • Attention to Detail: Has great attention to detail.
  • Guest Relations: Exceptional guest relation skills, including outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for the hospitality industry.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think on the fly, set and manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 5 years of guest service experience.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet, and Point of Sales systems.
  • Management Experience: 2-3 years of previous management experience.
