About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Person to join our team at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and facilities
  • Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely and efficient manner
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and downtime
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment

Requirements:

  • Related maintenance experience required
  • High School completion required
  • Valid Alberta Drivers License required
  • Technical School completion an asset
  • Level 1 Pool Certification an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications required (Word, Excel & Power Point)
  • Basic mechanical ability, including knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Responsible and able to complete work without supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule based on volume of business
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
