AltaGas is seeking a skilled Power Plant Operations Specialist to join our team in Slave Lake, Alberta.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year

About the Job

We are looking for an experienced professional to operate and maintain our Hydrocarbon Fractionation Plant safely, effectively, and productively as part of our operating team. The successful candidate will work a seven-on, seven-off rotation schedule, 12 hours per shift, including days and nights.

  • Operate and maintain the plant and associated equipment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Prepare and issue safe work permits to contractors, and prepare work areas for maintenance.
  • Monitor process and equipment conditions, maintaining operational records and updates.
  • Contribute to the development, review, and revision of Safe Operating Procedures.
  • Assist in bulk loading and unloading operations for trucks transporting fluids.
  • Participate in pipeline maintenance activities, including pigging operations.
About You

We require a valid Class 5 Driver's License and at least one year of experience in gas operations. Power engineering certification would be considered an asset. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team or individually are essential.

You should have proficiency in MS Office applications and advanced mathematical skills. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing situations.
