Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispensing and Patient Education: Dispense medications to patients, advise on proper use, and educate on potential side effects and interactions.
  • Medication Verification: Verify dosage and instructions from healthcare providers to ensure accuracy and safety.
  • Prescription Preparation: Prepare prescriptions according to prescriber instructions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Medication Safety: Verify patient safety and potential interactions with other medications.
  • Patient Education and Support: Educate patients on medication administration, potential side effects, and answer questions.
  • Vaccination Administration: Administer vaccinations, such as flu shots, as required.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee and manage pharmacy interns and technicians to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • Valid License: Hold a valid license to practice as a pharmacist in Ontario.
