Job Title: Naval Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Naval Engineer to join our team at Victoria Shipyards Co. Ltd. as a key member of our shipbuilding and marine engineering department.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing marine vessels and floating structures, as well as associated marine power plants, propulsion systems, and related systems and equipment. This includes preparing construction specifications, costs, and material estimates, performing job-site calculations, and acting as a technical consultant in a particular field of expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop marine vessels and floating structures, including associated marine power plants, propulsion systems, and related systems and equipment.
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates.
  • Perform job-site calculations and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Act as a technical consultant in a particular field of expertise and provide guidance to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Review work orders and ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as naval architecture or marine engineering.
  • 5 years or more of experience in shipbuilding and marine engineering.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
