As a key member of the OSCO Construction Group, we are seeking a highly skilled In-House Counsel to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Risk Management and Administration, this role will work closely with the Contracts team to support our various lines of business.
This position is responsible for assisting with case law and litigation research, providing exceptional client support, and ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely fashion. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to balance competing priorities to achieve accurate and consistent work output.
Key Responsibilities- Contract Management: Review, edit, and manage Non-Disclosure Agreements, construction contracts, and other contractual documents.
- Litigation Support: Assist in managing litigation files, reviewing and editing credit applications, and conducting case law and legislation research as required.
- Contractual Negotiations: Assist in contractual negotiations with customers and vendors.
- Deadline Management: Manage contractual deadlines and notice requirements.
- Communication: Coordinate with outside counsel through the General Counsel and communicate effectively with all levels of management.
- Education: LLB or J.D. and/or Accreditation from Federation of Law Societies (if applicable).
- Experience: 1-5 years of experience in any area of Law.
- Skills: Exceptional time management and organizational skills, demonstrated experience setting and managing priorities with flexibility in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines.
