Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled QA Manager to join our team. As a QA Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining our Quality Management System to comply with ISO 9001/AS9100 Standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve our Quality Management System to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate external audits, prepare for audits, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain certificates from civil aviation authorities, including Transport Canada, FAA, EASA, JCAB, and others.
  • Implement and maintain Canadian Aviation Regulations 571, 573, and 591, as well as FAA and EASA regulations.
  • Respond to customer complaints and corrective actions.
  • Maintain Approved Supplier Lists and records of ISO certificates for suppliers.
  • Evaluate prospective suppliers through visits and assessments.
  • Maintain Non-Conformance Logs and Vendor Corrective Actions.
  • Coordinate calibration of test equipment and tools.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections and documentation for airborne products.
  • Submit documents and work with FAA DER and customers for product approval.
  • Lead quality management meetings, send minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Issue, maintain, and audit inspection and test stamps.
  • Analyze returned products for repair (RMA).
  • Manage, coach, and mentor the quality department team.
  • Prepare monthly quality metrics.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on ESD, FOD, WHMIS, SMS, and other topics.
  • Maintain skills matrices and training records for employees.
  • Conduct internal audits based on a yearly cycle.
  • Closed internal audit corrective actions/observations.
  • Prepare trouble reports with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) for customer returns.
  • Attend production and engineering meetings, conference calls with customers.
  • Participate in design reviews and review drawings, ECNs, and other documents.
  • Issue and maintain logs of Quality Alerts, Quality Plans, Internal Deviations, and Waivers.
  • Carry out trend analysis to highlight repeat problems.
  • Work with Engineering to complete RCCA activities and follow up on effectiveness.
