About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ensemble director to lead our Eklektikos Ensemble at Brandon University. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented music professional to make a meaningful contribution to our community.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the BU Eklektikos Ensemble from September to April, with a focus on creating engaging and high-quality musical experiences for our students. The ensemble will perform a mix of jazz and other styles, and the director will work closely with the School of Music faculty to develop the ensemble's repertoire and performance schedule.

Key Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have a Master's degree in music and relevant teaching experience. A strong background in jazz and ensemble direction is essential, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. We welcome applications from candidates who are available to teach in both terms.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $5750.83 per 2.5 credit hour ensemble, effective September 1, 2024. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
