Mobile Laboratory Patient Care Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Organize daily schedules of visits to facilities and private residences to collect specimens as per physicians’ requests, planning routes according to courier times, specimen integrity, and required travel time.
- Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and perform ECG tracings.
- Collect and deliver specimens to designated labs for testing.
- Accession, spin, separate, and prepare specimens for transport to reference labs as required.
- Book patient appointments, request required information from patients, explain specimen collection processes, and ensure patients have followed test protocol prior to collection.
- Liaise with doctors, facility staff, and CCAC staff regarding patient problems, changes in scheduling, specimen collection procedures, and other matters.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and access to a vehicle.
- Satisfactory criminal reference check.
- Phlebotomy experience.
- Excellent communication skills to enable interaction with a diverse range of people.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly.
- Ability to maintain the strictest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality.

Hiring Range: $24.02 - $28.05
