Drywall Installation Job Description

Sagada Construction Ltd. O/A Sagada Construction is seeking a skilled Drywall Craftsman to join our team for a permanent position. As a Drywall Craftsman, you will be responsible for applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints, cutting and installing metal corner beads to protect exterior corners, filling joints and holes with joint compound, and spraying acoustic materials over walls and ceilings.

Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fil joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound.
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required.
  • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets.
  • Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry.
  • Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade.
  • English as the primary language of work.
  • 30 to 40 hours of work per week.
