Farm Labourer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Farm Labourer to join our team at Elmridge Farm Ltd. As a Farm Labourer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to crop harvesting and farm maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clear fields of wood and stones to prepare for planting
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to ensure optimal growth
  • Harvest crops at the right time to maximize yield
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficiency
  • Examine products for quality and readiness for market
  • Hand harvest vegetables and other crops
  • Apply techniques such as hoeing between rows to maintain crop health
  • Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and repetitive tasks
