About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our Pet Valu team. As a key member of our distribution center, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and guidance to warehouse staff, including selectors, reach truck operators, and shipper-receivers, to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of warehouse staff.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, reporting, and inventory management.
  • Ensure that all warehouse operations are conducted in a manner that meets the highest standards of quality and customer service.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including productivity metrics and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address issues quickly and effectively.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills, with experience using inventory management systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
