**Job Summary**

Brandt is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our Campbell River Construction & Forestry team.

This is a challenging role that requires a strong background in heavy equipment repair and maintenance. As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our equipment fleet.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Evaluate and diagnose equipment issues, and perform repairs and maintenance in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues.
  • Document all work performed, including machine information, actions taken, and time spent.
  • Assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
  • Locate and order parts from parts personnel, and road test equipment as required.

**Requirements**

  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred.
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade is preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.
