Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Clerk to join our team at BTNX Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks, including calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, calculating fixed assets and depreciation, and maintaining general ledgers and financial statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare tax returns
  • Prepare trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
