Individualized Supports Specialist

The Community Living Society (CLS) is a pioneering, non-profit organization dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling lives. About the OpportunityAs a support worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support and actively engaging a supported individual to live a meaningful and increasingly independent life. You will be a motivated and outgoing individual with a passion for person-centered support, committed to helping individuals discover their community, learn new life skills, find employment, and more.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing individuals with support to achieve various life goals
- Accompanying individuals on community outings, including volunteering, paid employment, and leisure activities
- Maintaining records of daily activities and goal progression
We have multiple positions available, including:
Position 1- Monday: 9:00am - 5:30pm
- Tuesday: 9:00am - 4:00pm
- Wednesday: 9:00am - 5:30pm
- Thursday: 12:00pm - 7:30pm
- Friday: 9:00am - 7:30pm
- Thursday: 4:30pm - 7:00pm
- Friday: 4:30pm - 7:00pm
- Thursday: 9:00am - 3:00pm
- Friday: 9:00am - 2:00pm
- Wednesday: 9:00am - 2:30pm
We are seeking individuals who are passionate about supporting others and have a strong understanding of the person-centered and active support approach. To be successful in this role, you will require:
Requirements:- A Class 5 driver's license
- Access to a vehicle
- A First Aid and CPR Certificate
- A clear criminal record (paid by CLS)
- A clean driver's abstract
- Prior paid or volunteer experience
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training
- Mandt System
- Knowledge of Person-Centered Active Supports
