Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled 310T Licensed Truck Mechanic to join our team at Lehigh Hanson. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing service to our plant locations and ensuring the maintenance and repair of our mixer trucks and other equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lubricate and perform preventative maintenance and scheduled repairs of mixer trucks and other equipment as required.
  • Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose problems.
  • Ensure that all equipment repairs are performed accurately to company standards.
  • Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with specifications.
  • Diagnose and perform power train component repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and perform hydraulic system repairs.
  • Repair suspension and steering systems.
  • Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with specifications.
  • Will maintain good housekeeping and complete work orders on equipment.
  • Makes minor repairs including welding and cutting.
  • Will perform other duties and assignments as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
  • Valid 310T (Truck and Coach Mechanic) License.
  • 2 years of journeyman level mechanic experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend maintenance manuals.
  • Must have complete knowledge of truck air brake systems with the ability to diagnose and repair problems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
  • Requires lifting, kneeling, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling, working at elevated heights, at times in tight and awkward positions.
