The Assistant Flagging Supervisor is a key member of the team responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operations in the flagging group. This role involves managing the weekly schedule, coordinating with internal and external parties, and providing daily support to the Flagging Supervisor. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of railway operating rules, engineering standards, and engineering operation measures. They will be responsible for helping plan the schedule, communicating with employees, managing absences and replacements, and conducting investigations.

This role also involves attending weekly management meetings, managing the vehicle fleet, keeping inventory updated, coaching flagmen, and supporting the supervisor in managing unforeseen events. The Assistant Flagging Supervisor must be able to work in a combination of office and outdoor environments with various weather conditions and be available on-call 24/7. Regular travel (50%) within the territory is also required.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have between 2 to 4 years of experience in railway operation, a valid driver's license, and experience supervising a unionized workforce. Labour Relations (LR) experience is also desirable. A high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) is required. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
