Sanitation Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Sanitation Supervisor to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of sanitation and food safety in our plant.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of hourly employees to ensure proper sanitation practices are followed.
- Conduct regular inspections and observations to monitor plant cleanliness and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement sanitation programs and procedures to meet and exceed governmental requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and achieve plant cleanliness goals.
- Prepare and submit reports and records to ensure due diligence and continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership and guidance to employees to foster a culture of safety and quality.
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and excellence.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a unionized meat or food processing environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate and coach employees.
- Post-secondary education in Microbiology or Chemistry or equivalent.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, WHMIS, and other relevant regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
