Job Title: Education Assistant - Lac La Ronge Indian Band

Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified Education Assistant to support our students and teachers at Bell's Point Elementary School.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct students to their classrooms and assist with supervision
  • Escort students as necessary to their classroom or administration office
  • Support teachers in maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment
  • Inspect restrooms to ensure students are not loitering or damaging facilities
  • Report any damage or issues to the administration office
  • Monitor school buses and the courtyard during lunch breaks
  • Substitute for classrooms in need of a teacher
  • Defuse confrontational situations and promote a positive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Grade 12 Education
  • Mature and responsible attitude
  • Ability to work with children and communicate effectively
  • Ability to defuse confrontational situations
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License is an asset
  • Ability to provide an acceptable criminal record and vulnerable sector check
