Job Summary

Interior Health Authority is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join their dynamic Medical Imaging team on a casual basis. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities, including ultrasound, CT, MRI, and radiography.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities, including ultrasound, CT, MRI, and radiography
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
  • Develop and implement procedures to ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency

Requirements

  • Completion of a recognized medical imaging program or equivalent experience
  • Registration with the Canadian Society of Medical Imaging Technologists (CSMIT) or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
