Job Description

As a Senior Solutions Architect at Scotiabank, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet the bank's business needs. Your technical expertise and leadership skills will be essential in driving the development of innovative solutions that support the bank's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software solutions that meet business requirements and are aligned with the bank's technology strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior team members and contribute to the development of technical standards and best practices.
  • Participate in estimating, tasking, status, and stand-up meetings to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in software development and apply that knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in the bank's technology solutions.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in software development and architecture.
  • Strong Java, Unix shell, and Kotlin skills, with experience working in Eclipse-based environments.
  • Solid understanding of DevOps, cloud concepts, and implementation.
  • Experience with SQL databases and related security models.
  • Strong understanding of cloud concepts and implementation.
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or technical equivalent.
