Teaching Opportunities with School District #67 (Okanagan Skaha)

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic professional educators to join our Teachers - Teaching on Call (TTOC) list for the 2024/2025 school year. Our district is committed to collaboration, mentorship, and creating innovative learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach in various elementary, middle, and secondary settings
  • Implement BC's Education Plan and the Redesigned Curriculum
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide inclusive learning opportunities
  • Use Quality Assessment practices to support student learning

Requirements:

  • British Columbia Professional Teaching Certificate
  • Recent successful teaching experience
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Experience in differentiating and providing inclusive learning opportunities
  • Training/experience in Quality Assessment practices

Applications are accepted through the Make a Future website. Supporting documents must include:

  • Cover letter and resume
  • BC teaching certificate and BC TQS card
  • Teaching Reports/Practicum Reports
  • Copies of university transcripts
  • Names and contact information of at least three supervisory references

Compensation:

As of July 1, 2024, TTOCs are paid a daily rate ranging from $315.93 to $469.99 as per the collective agreement. Salary is based on TQS and prior experience. Under the terms of the Teacher's Collective Agreement, Teachers Teaching On Call are eligible to participate in an Extended Health Benefits plan and dental plan.
