Senior Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our team at the Canadian Institute for Health Information. As a Senior Analyst, you will play a key role in leading analyses related to joint replacements, producing annual reports, and conducting data quality analyses.
Key Responsibilities- Lead analyses related to joint replacements, including producing annual reports and conducting data quality analyses.
- Support data collection activities and lead data requests.
- Provide analytical leadership on new analyses related to prosthesis-level reporting and project support on initiatives related to data advancement of CJRR in Canada.
- Collaborate with department members to explore future analytical work using CIHI's hospitalization, registry, patient-reported outcome, and patient experience data on hip and knee replacements.
- Undergraduate degree in Epidemiology, Health Information, Statistics, or other related field. A graduate degree is an asset.
- Three to five years of experience analyzing healthcare data, including experience with data manipulation and statistical analysis of large, relational datasets.
- Experience using SAS and Python is required. Experience using R is an asset.
- Knowledge and experience with quantitative statistical methods and ability to critically synthesize and interpret data to inform development of analytical products.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to problem-solve and effectively communicate technical approaches and analytical findings.
- Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a deadline-driven environment.
- Fluency in English is required, bilingualism in both official languages is an asset.
