About the Role

Colas USA is seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in Mount Royal, Montreal. This permanent full-time position offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and hardware/software lifecycle management of company assets using an asset management tool. Key responsibilities include:

  • Installing and configuring software/hardware systems that support our operating environment
  • Developing and maintaining installation and configuration procedures
  • Initiating and managing the ordering process for software/hardware, including purchase order creation
  • Maintenance and documentation of computer inventory in the asset database
  • Imaging and configuring computers with appropriate operating system(s), necessary business applications, and settings using tools like SCCM
  • Creating Active Directory and other accounts with the appropriate level of access based on user needs
  • Shipping computers to users, managing costs, and coordinating with level 1&2 support for delivery as needed
  • Analyzing inventory and providing data points to create replacement calendars
  • Providing initial training to new users on Colas ISS IT tools, procedures, organizations, and applications
  • Coordinating presentations for new employees and passing the baton to local IT technicians

In addition to these responsibilities, the IT Infrastructure Specialist will:

  • Track requests and provisioning tickets daily
  • Create, track, and manage documented departmental operating procedures
  • Maintain good collaboration with suppliers
  • Prioritize incoming email or ticket system requests for new and replacement computers by getting all the appropriate approvals for new purchases and security requests

The IT Infrastructure Specialist will also be responsible for performing periodic audits on end-user application licenses and role-based access levels and troubleshooting billing and inventory issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Diploma of College Studies or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience in setting up and supporting Microsoft Windows 7 & 10 as well as productivity tools like Microsoft Office
  • Must be bilingual (English/French)
  • Preferred ITIL v3 certification
  • Knowledge of ITSM principles
