Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Technician

Job Summary:

Inland Technologies International Limited is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team. As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and testing equipment used in the recovery and processing of de-icing fluids.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assemble and test specially designed equipment for recovering and processing de-icing fluids
- Perform equipment builds and repairs using a variety of hand and power tools, cranes/lifts
- Conduct end of assembly function and performance verification tests
- Set hydraulic pressures, flows, and other system adjustments
- Disassemble and rebuild component assemblies

Requirements:

- 3rd year registered apprentice or equivalent combination of education and experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience with heavy equipment diagnostics, repair, maintenance, or assembly
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair systems such as hydraulics, powertrains, and electrical and electronic systems
- Willingness to be trained on other duties and positions within the fabrication facility
- Ability to follow drawings, schematics, procedures, and make and assemble sub-assemblies
- Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs
- Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively
- Ability to interpret documents including safety rules, operating, and procedure manuals

Work Environment:

The Mechanical Assembly Technician will work in a manufacturing and production working environment. There will be regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. There may be times when the Mechanical Assembly Technician will be required to work outside of their normal work schedule.

Physical Demands:

- The employee must be physically fit and able to perform all operational requirements
- Position involves standing for extended periods of time as well as bending, kneeling, lifting, climbing, using hands to control tools and feel objects, reaching with hands and arms
- Ability to lift, push, and pull objects up to 75 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently
- Wearing of personal protective equipment when required and full mobility allowing for freedom of movement in high-risk environment
- Must be able to speak clearly and hear efficiently to comprehend instructions
- Employees must have the ability to climb 15-foot heights for work
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
