About the Role

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Pipelayer to join our team for a watermain replacement project in the heavy civil construction industry. As a Pipelayer, you will be responsible for installing and connecting underground pipes for water, sewer, and drainage systems according to specifications and blueprints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and connect underground pipes for water, sewer, and drainage systems according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Use hand tools and equipment to excavate trenches and lay pipes with accuracy and precision.
  • Ensure proper alignment and grading of pipes to facilitate proper flow and functionality.
  • Install and secure pipe fittings, valves, and other components as required.
  • Collaborate with the Foreman to coordinate workflow and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Monitor and inspect pipes for any defects or damage, and report any issues to the Foreman.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Pipe Layer in underground utility construction projects is required.
  • Ability to operate hand tools and equipment related to pipe laying.
  • Good understanding of blueprints, specifications, and construction plans.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to commute to job sites.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to following safety protocols and guidelines.
