Job Title: Tile Setter

SBR Commercial Services Ltd is seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with tiles. You will also mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel. Your tasks will include setting tiles in place, aligning and straightening them, cutting and fitting tiles around obstacles and openings, and packing grout into joints between tiles. You will also lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs. Additionally, you will build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets, cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite, and mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces. You will work in a physically demanding environment, requiring bending, crouching, kneeling, and the ability to distinguish between colors. You must have excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. You will work in a team environment and must be accurate, dependable, and have excellent oral communication skills. The work term is permanent, and the work language is English. The working hours are 30 to 40 hours per week. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with tiles
  • Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel
  • Set tiles in place and align and straighten them
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs

  • Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite
  • Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Excellent oral communication skills
