Job Title: Auto Body Technician

We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team at SPEEDY AUTO BODY INC.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating repair costs, inspecting repaired vehicles, and planning repair work to be performed. They will also be required to file, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired, mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting, and operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate repair costs based on damage examination reports
  • Inspect repaired vehicles to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Plan repair work to be performed, including filing, grinding, and sanding body surfaces
  • Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
  • Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams
  • Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields, and sunroofs
  • Mix paint, blend, and match colors
  • Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Ability to work in a dusty and noisy environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
