The CI Manager will lead Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts at GATX's railcar repair facility. This role serves as a site CI champion and applies problem-solving discipline and Lean methods to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) components.

- Ensuring safety is a priority, this role leads or assists with safety incident management and routine EHS tasks when the EH&S Manager is not on-site.

Responsibilities:
  • Champion Daily Visual Management (DVM) in the facility within GATX's SQDC framework, supporting DVM efforts across work centers and levels.
  • Lead Kaizen/Blitz activities for sustainable results.
  • Analyze data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Cross-functionally engage teams.
  • Develop ownership for results.
  • Establish baselines and track/report realized improvements.
  • Sustain improvements.
  • Support strategic initiatives through goal deployment.
  • Implement 5S and Standard Work Instructions (SWIs).
  • Educate in creating a problem-solving culture.
