Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Rural Laboratory Specialist to join our team at the Swan Hills Health Centre. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care by applying regional policies, procedures, and standards within the laboratory department.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail and good judgment, with excellent organizational and communication skills. You will work collaboratively with our fast-paced team to provide customer-focused service, build positive relationships, and take responsibility for customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collecting and analyzing biological specimens
  • Conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs, and reporting results
  • Preparing patients, venipuncture, and micropuncture
  • Maintaining routine equipment, supplies, and performing quality control procedures as required
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including relocation assistance may be available with a Return of Service Agreement.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this role is $62,300 - $79,200, depending on experience.

Required Qualifications

Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT) and active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
