Hiring Alert: Employee Relations Specialist
The Canada Cartage Group is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our HR team. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your expertise in human resources to drive positive outcomes for our organization and its employees.
About the Job:
In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for onboarding/offboarding, address employee relations issues, implement HR programs, policies, and procedures, train and develop supervisors and employees, and provide regular support for HR reporting and metrics.
You will work closely with senior leaders to develop and implement effective change management processes, foster a culture of inclusivity and respect, and promote a positive work environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues, including performance management, attendance management, disability management, workplace investigations, and employee exits.
- Develop and implement effective HR programs, policies, and procedures that align with organizational goals.
- Deliver training sessions on HR-related topics, including Progressive Discipline, Coaching for Performance, Supervisory Leadership, etc.
- Collaborate with department heads to create a positive work environment and promote employee engagement.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 3-5 years of experience in HR or a related field.
- Bachelor's Degree/Certificate in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
- Proven expertise in employee relations, labor laws, and regulations, including the Canada Labour Code (CLC).
