At Northern Health Authority, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

About the Role

The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and health care management to patients/clients/residents. They will also provide professional guidance to other healthcare professionals and participate in policy-making activities that influence healthcare services and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients/clients/residents to determine their healthcare needs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to address patient/client/resident needs
  • Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as necessary
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient/client/resident care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient/client/resident outcomes
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Nursing or related field
  • Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients/clients/residents and families
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing practice
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
