Job Title: Construction Labourer and Helper

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer and Helper to join our team at Electrical calibrators Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Construction Labourer and Helper will assist in various construction tasks, including loading and unloading materials, performing pre-operational inspections, and reading blueprints to determine work requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Perform pre-operational inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with safety protocols
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Instruct apprentices on construction techniques and safety procedures
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Pave and rake asphalt
  • Assist in demolishing buildings
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work to ensure equipment is in good working condition
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Work Environment:

The Construction Labourer and Helper will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and physically demanding tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
