About the Role

We are currently seeking a skilled Industrial Facility Supervisor for our Windsor Cogeneration Plant. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the plant, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies, and procedures. You will play a critical role in resolving technical issues and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage plant operations and maintenance functions, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve plant efficiency and productivity
  • Assess and mitigate risks through understanding of relevant legislation and regulations
  • Lead training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and knowledge
  • Foster a positive and empowered work environment, promoting open communication and collaboration
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • An Ontario First Class Stationary Engineer's certificate or equivalent Interprovincial certificate
  • 5-7 years' experience in industrial facility management, with 2-4 years as a supervisor
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and influential approach
  • Ability to create and manage operating and maintenance budgets
  • Capable of operating in a unionized environment and interpreting union contracts
  • Understanding of commercial contracts, including customer agreements and supply contracts
