About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Mucho Burrito. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization, and implement procedures to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Staff Training: Train kitchen staff and helpers in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, as well as maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Supply Chain Management: Order supplies and equipment to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and provide guidance and support to ensure the success of the kitchen team.
Work Environment

As a Culinary Specialist at Mucho Burrito, you will work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods and working under pressure to meet the demands of a busy kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, including housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
  • Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster, and provide support and guidance to help them settle into their new community.
  • Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition, and provide assistance with job placement and training.
