Job Title: Tool and Die Maker

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team at Allied Tooling Technologies Inc. As a Tool and Die Maker, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining precision tools and dies for various manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compute dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of workpieces
  • Set up machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
  • Test prototypes and production tools
  • Verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
  • Set up and operate electrical discharge machines (EDM)
  • Lay out, shape, and assemble patterns of metal, wood, plastic, and other materials from blueprints, models, or templates
  • Position, secure, measure, and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machining
  • Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Mastercam CAD/CAM skills
  • Knowledge of gauge blocks, metal cutting, forming, or bending dies, and forging dies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and maintain manual dexterity
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized and accurate with a strong attention to detail
Work Environment:

Our workplace is a fast-paced environment with a focus on precision and quality. You will be working with a variety of machine tools and equipment, and will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
