As an Interactive Coach, you will play a pivotal role in helping students develop their self-confidence and self-esteem by providing personalized educational support and guidance.
This part-time position requires a commitment of after-school and evening hours from Monday to Thursday (4:00pm - 8:00pm) as well as Saturday mornings (9:30am - 12:30pm). A preferred commitment until the end of the term in June is required, with the possibility of continuing through the summer.
This role is based in-person and involves commuting to the location. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory for this position.
We are looking for an individual with a Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field, who has some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 8 level. Strong English written and oral communication skills are essential, along with the ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.
The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 8 curriculum and be able to teach using the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies. The salary for this position is approximately $18-$20 per hour, making it a competitive opportunity for those passionate about education.
In this role, you will work directly with students, filling in post-lesson notes, completing daily student communication updates, and maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times.
You will also have access to ongoing training opportunities, fun staff events, and frequent check-ins and feedback. Additionally, you will have the chance to develop your teaching skills and contribute to the growth and development of the company.
