About the Role:
Parsons Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Professional to support our Critical Infrastructure team. As an Environmental Professional, you will play a key role in supporting technical and environmental activities in Western Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with coordination of various site monitoring, investigation, and remediation projects, including active and vacant petroleum and chemical handling and storage properties.
- Plan projects, develop accurate scopes of work, cost estimates, project plans, schedules, and deliverables.
- Work with project teams, including field personnel, project coordinators, project managers, draftspersons, and administrative staff, using interpersonal and organizational skills to ensure project tasks are completed on time and budget.
- Perform data entry and QA/QC for soil, groundwater, and vapour data.
- Prepare do-lists, health and safety plans, technical reports, memoranda, and other project documentation.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position, including field work at local and remote sites to support learning and professional growth.
Required Skills:
- 4-year (Bachelor's) Degree in earth sciences, civil, environmental, chemical, geological engineering, or similar programs.
- Prior experience in conducting site assessment, remediation, and preparing reports would be an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player in fast-paced dynamic environments.
- Strong analytical skills for problem-solving.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Demonstrates the values of safety, teamwork, service, integrity, and accountability.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Maturity in interaction and ability to operate self-sufficiently in the office.
- A valid driver's license.
- Prefer local candidates to the Langley area.
