Your Role:As a Pharmacist I, you will be responsible for providing essential distribution pharmacy services, including interpreting and assessing medication orders/prescriptions for therapeutic suitability, ensuring medications are efficiently and accurately dispensed or compounded, and maintaining complete dispensing records.
You will communicate with physicians, patients, and other healthcare team members for prescription clarification and problem resolution. You will also provide instructions on proper use, administration, storage, and disposal of medications, and inform patients about potential side effects.
Additionally, you will participate in medication use evaluation projects, implement dispensary-based medication safety initiatives, contribute to quality control activities, and engage in clinical drug trials. You will utilize a computerized medication information system to ensure compliance with legal, professional, and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
